Find out more about Doodlebuckets.com
I wanted to welcome a baby girl into the world and show her parents how much I was happy for them and their new family member. All I needed to do was find a reliable gift basket website where they sell baby gifts, and send one to them. It seemed very simple at the moment, however, something went wrong from the very beginning.
At first it seemed to be a usual website, with a common structure, gift baskets I’ve already seen elsewhere, but much higher prices! However, even that didn’t stop me since I was exhausted with searching, and was ready to place an order knowing I would regret my choice afterwards.
I’ve chosen their Time for a Change! Diaper Baby Gift Basket, the brown colored one (neutral) since I liked it more, and added it to the cart. On the next page, there can be applied discount coupons if you have one, the quantity can be changed, then one would go to checkout.
The process is quite simple and doesn’t differ from multiple other websites I’ve reviewed before. However, they don’t offer a shipping option anywhere on the website. I noticed it’s free on gift orders over $75, and $15.99 for orders below $75, delivered to Continental US. They also offer 3-Day Express for $46.95, 2-Day Express for $64.99 and Next Business Day for $94.99 in their Shipping & Returns department but where can I choose one of these options on the website while placing my order?? I couldn’t find it even though I was willing to pay the huge price for a 2 Day delivery, so I left it as it was. If you know the answer, please tell me, I’m still curious.
Anyway, I received the basket within 5 business days which was not as good as I wanted, however, I ordered it long before I needed it, so that was fine. To tell you the truth, it didn’t look the way it was shown on the picture at their website. The colors were much paler in reality and the size of the product was much larger on their website than in person, so I was disappointed. And yes, you can do so much better in other places since their prices are huge. I compared some of the items they offer with similar items from other places, and understood that paid extra money in vain.
But what shocked me the most was the Tribute to Michael Whitakar in the Information section in the bottom of the website. I started reading the article thinking that was an important person who founded the place or something else. Instead, I read a story full of horror and unpleasant details about a strange person who was hit and run in an accident, and the owner of the Doodlebuckets.com was a witness to. It makes no sense, and if you wanted to catch people’s attention, well, you’ve got it but not in the way you wanted, I guess. If you ever read this review, can you please tell me why you posted it online, in a place where only joy and happiness should be present?
